The main road of Yanjiang Avenueextensionis expected to be open to traffic on October 1, according to the report from the Yichang Urban Construction and Investment Development Co., Ltd on September 9.

　　It is learned that, as one of the key projects of thecity to promote ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River, theextensionof Yanjiang Avenue to be constructedstarts at Bailinhe Road and ends at the Yichang Highway Yangtze River Bridge. Itsthird sectionhasa length of 5.16km, sited betweentheend of Yigu Road passage andthe Yangtze River Bridge. The expansion and upgrading of the section involve such projects asroad, passage, drainage, pipeline integration, lighting, and traffic, including the construction of a 1940-meter landscape enhancement, 2 sidewalk passages, 4 box culverts and 1 sewage pumping station. So far, a total of 927 sub-projects have passedinspection,with a 100% of on-site acceptance rate, and the entire project isexpected to be completedby the end of November this year.
