Tourists Number of Yichang Tops in Hubei Province First Month of “Free Admission”

  34 policy documents issued by the state, provincial and municipal governments aresorted out and relevant departments and units are actively coordinated with each other to promote the implementation of policies. Since March this year, the municipal bureau of cultural and tourism has actively made efforts to promote the resumption of tourism industry. 517 enterprises in the city have resumed work with an overall resumption rate of 76.6% by the end of the month.

  The bureau always gives top priority to normalized epidemic prevention and control while A-level tourist scenic areas strictly follow epidemic prevention and control measures, from wearing masks, scanning QR codes of health, testing temperatures and registering information to staff management, material preparation, environmental disinfection, visit reservation, flow limitation and emergency plan. Everything is meticulous and practicable, thus making the resumption limitedly, orderly and safely.

  During Labour’sDay holiday this year, in the premise of the epidemic prevention and control, cultural e-home, Yichang panoramic VR platform and online platform resources such as online library and museum were integrated. Based on existing “home life” and “cloud service”, the construction of digital cultural tourism service platform is accelerated and new cultural tourism consumption patterns and forms are fostered, enriching wisdom means supply of the market.

  Guided by healthy and relieving ideas, the tourism marketing and publicity campaigns helped tourists to travel in a scientific and organized way. On April 30, for example, the first batch of consumption coupons in cultural and tourism was sold out within a second. “Yi Lvle”, the recommendation index of Yichang tourism is released to the public regularly everyday to comprehensively evaluate the air quality and meteorological conditions of the city’s open scenic spots to build a green image of healthy tourism.

  37 A-level scenic spots implemented free admission during the launch of “Traveling with love, traveling to Hubei, traveling to Yichang” campaign, and various rewards were given to travel agencies of “bring tourists to Hubei”. Under the overall policies among the province, innovative activities, products benefits people and enterprises are encouraged, such as packaging scenery spots, star-rated hotels and rural tourism agricultural products in order to sell related products in scenic spots, hotels and street shops.

  Several activities and preferential tourism policies which were put forward to attract visitors from Wuhan to travel in Yichang and enjoy the beautiful scenery from these scenic spots won the support and recognition from travel agencies both in Wuhan and Yichang.

  The implementation of a series of practical measures have greatly accelerated the recovery of tourism after the epidemic. According to statistics, in the first month of “free admission”, the city’s A-level scenic spots received 2.158 million times reservation with 1.817 million visitors’ entering, of which there were nearly 12,000 travel agency teams and 649,000 times reservation from tourists from other provinces, ranking first in Hubei province.
