On September 30, Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd obtained itsAEO Certificateissued by Yichang Customs. Up to now, there are 42 AEO enterprises in the city, 5of which are advancedcertified ones, and the rest 4 are Angel Yeast, Jinbao Musical Instruments, Tianmei InternationalCosmetics and Xingfa Chemicals Group.
AEO stands forAuthorized Economic Operator. Those enterprises that have passed the AEO standard certification will be regarded bythe customs as honest, law-abidingand safe operators, which canenjoy the convenience of fewer inspections and priorityto customs clearance when importing and exporting goodsbothin their own countries andin countriesthat providemutual recognition. At present, China Customs has signed AEO mutual recognition agreements with 42 countries or regions in 15 economies, including 18 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).
“The inspection rate of our exported medicine used to berelatively high because of its large quantityand specialness,” said Cao Bo, deputy director of the International Department of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical, now with such a certificate, the inspection rate and customs clearance time of our exportswill be greatly reduced, which will bring our costdown. More importantly, it can help enterprises open broader international market and sell their products toEurope, South Korea, and countries and regions along the BRI.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Wuhan Customs has introduced 50 measures to optimize the business environment, and held many corporate credit seminars to help companies restore their work and production. Next, Yichang Customs will further enhance the cultivation of corporate credit, so that morehigh-credit enterprisescan emerge, and will implement various preferential and convenient measures to AEO companies, andactively give fullplayto theleading role of advancedcertified enterprises in order to helpmore foreign trade companies to go abroad with the advantage of theirAEOidentity.
