In our city, one of the ecological protection and restoration projects of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes and grasses—the main road of Yanjiang Avenue extension section has finished the final preparation and will be opened to traffic on September 30.

　　The successful opening of the main road marks the over-20-kilometer riverside promenade can be connected smoothly, and constructs a new traffic pattern in the eastern part of the city effectively. It is expected to contribute to promote the transformation of tourism in the whole region, coordinate the utilization of landscape and cultural resources of Yichang, change the urban areas into scenic areas, the nodes into scenic spots as well, improve the quality and bearing capacity of the city, bring about the evolution of urban development and living environment. As such, the main urban area will play a more essential role in realizing the goal of “two in the forefront” in Yichang.

　　It is known that the municipal engineering project of Yanjiang Avenue extension section was officially started on December 27, 2018, and was constructed by Yichang Urban Construction Holding Group. The project starts from Bailinhe Road and ends at Yichang Yangtze River Highway Bridge, which is about 9.13 kilometers long and has 6 lanes in both sides.(Correspondent: Ding Wei)
