The construction of Yichang Sports Park attheYichang Sports Center kicked off lately. It will be built in three phases, of which some basketball courts and futsal playgrounds are expected to be completed this year while the swimming pool is expected to be ready for use in 2022.

　　In this new sport park, three basketball courts, four futsal playgrounds, four tennis courts and four 3×3 basketball courts will be built, besides, some supporting facilities such as: rest room, washroom, locker room, trails, outdoor exercise equipment and stone table, park chair, morning exercise field will also be added.

　　Located at Tiyuchang Road, Yichang Sports Centeris convenient to transport and parking, which is a good choice for citizens fitness. The construction of thesports park will further promote the development of national fitness activities and meet the fitness masses' demands for the venues and facilities for basketball, football and other ball games.

　　In recent years, the government has introduced several new measures to promote the national fitness campaign, which includes opening public sports venues freely, sharing public sports facilities, using a variety of sports funds stepped up efforts in all kinds of sports fitness equipment installation in residential area, actively encouraging enterprises and individuals to participate in sports facilities construction investment, to improve the urban recreational fitness and cultural life and promote the social service system.(Reporter: Bian Jianxin; Correspondent: Chen Ke)
