On this side of the wallis Yigu Road on the heavy trafficand on the other side of the wallappears the embryonic form of the ecological cultural park. This isthe scene of Chenlin quarry dock. The transformation of Chenglin quarry into a park is a vivid practice of Yichang protectingthe Yangtze River. The 9-kilometer-long riverfront from the mouth of the Bailin River to the ancient Xiaoting battlefield was once filled with wharves, stone processing plants, gas stations and restaurants, making the "golden shoreline" an "ecological scar". To protect the green water of a river and repair the ecology of the Yangtze River, Yichang responded to the order and invested 400 million yuan in the requisition of docks, gas stations and factory buildings along the river, and to restore greenery to form an ecological green corridor of the Yangtze River.

　　In August 2019, the construction of the project officially started, the specific construction content isas follows: ecological restoration and environmental remediation of the Linjiang River wastewater treatment plant, environmental management and ecological restoration of the wharf, waterfront green corridor and infrastructure construction, which is put into operation in bids based on location and construction content. According to Wen Mingxin, the deputy chief of the City Garden Centre Engineering Section, at present, except for the 1.5kilometer-long section of the Yangtze River shoreline from Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge to Yichang Heavy Item Wharf, which is basically rehabilitated and open to the public, the other sections are either under construction or underbidding, and will be fully constructed within the year. “There will be a wedding plaza with romantic reliefs and roses, where young people can come to take pictures and hold weddings," he said, pointing to the five white arches nearby. This wedding plaza is the nodal landscape of the project, which combines the natural landscape of the Yangtze River shoreline and the historical and cultural landscape of Yichang to create "the oathof the Mountains ". The section from the Chenglin quarry quay to the ancient Xiaoting battlefield belongs to the fifth tender section of the project. With the exception of the Taihe quay and the fueling Station areas of China Changjiang Bunker (Sinopec) Co., Ltd, which could not be constructed due to incomplete condemnation, other areas began to carry out refined construction according to the standards of energy-saving gardens and high-quality gardens in April this year, planning to build a green sample section along the Yangtze Riverbank.

As can be seen from the figure, 10 nodal landscapeswill be created throughthe project, which will be distributed sequentially along the riverfront.
