Sanxia Daily News (Reporter: Yan Xiaodong; Correspondent: Wang Tingting) On October 25, itwaslearned from Yichang Sanxia Airport that itofficially started awinter-spring flight season on that day. On the first dayof the new season, 5 airlines were added;they areXiamen-Yichang-Urumqi route operated byFuzhou Airlines, Wenzhou-Yichang-Yinchuan route and Wuxi-Yichang-Lanzhou route both byShenzhen Airlines, Chongqing-Yichang-Haikou route byDonghai Airlines, and Guangzhou-Yichang-Shijiazhuang route byChanglong Airlines. On the same day, 88 flights were planned to take off and land,ayear-on-year increase of 16%, transporting10,500 passengers, an increase of 18% over the previousyear.

　　Asource with the airport said that awinter-spring flight schedule will beimplementedfrom October 25 to March 27, 2021. Flights to Chongqing will be added during the new season, and 6 routs will be reopened comprising flights toShijiazhuang, Xiamen, Urumqi, Wuxi, Lijiang and Zhanjiang. And more flights will be made to Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Wenzhou, Lanzhou etc. At present, the departure time from the airport has beenoptimized. To be specific,within one single day,there are 3 round trips fromYichang toBeijing, 4 such trips to Shanghai, 6 to Guangzhou and 4 to Shenzhen. Altogether, the airportis linked by flights to36 domestic cities,with an average of 100 take-offs and landings every day, and a maximumof702 per week.
