On October 20, the Ministry of Ecology andEnvironment released a national reportonenvironment and air quality for the first three quarters in 2020, which showed that Yichangonce again ranked first in air qualityimprovementin China.
From January to September, the good air quality days in Yichang "national testingarea" were 242, accounting for 88.3% of a year, a year-on-yearincrease of21.3%. Theaverage concentration of PM10 was49 mg/m3,a year-on-year decrease of 31.9%. The average concentration of PM2.5 was 35 mg/m3, a year-on-year decrease of 31.4%.The average concentration of ozone was 142 mg/m3, downyear-on-yearby15.0%.
