From October 31 to November 2, in accordance with the deployment of the Yichang Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarter, the municipal health authorities,followingthe requirements of normalized and targeted prevention and control,carriedoutnucleic acid testing on2,744 environmental and biological samples and employees’amples (2,517 environmental and biological samples and 227 employees’ samples), including 23 catering locations, 27 supermarkets, 17 farm produce markets, 6 general hospitals, 11 community health service centers (township health centers), 7 transport stations, 11sites ofpublic transport facilities, 16 express delivery stations, 6 sewage treatment plants, 10 public toilets, 21 other institutions and the seafood products and freshwater products of 15 cold chain food companies. Allthese samples were testednegative.

　　Since June 13, the city has been conducting sample testingonenvironmental samples such as supermarkets and farm produce markets within its jurisdiction for 143 daysin a row, mainly focusing on the testing of employees and environmental and biological samplessuch as cold storage, cold chain logistics and cold chain food.

　　By November 2, sampling testing has been made on a total of 560 locations of cold storage and cold chain logistics, 247 comprehensive medical institutions, 303 community health service centers, 447 farmproduce markets, 657 supermarkets, 425catering locations, and 232 sites of public transport facilities,156 transport stations, 188 public toilets, 137 sewage treatment plants, and 241 express delivery stations. 54,616 environmental and biological samples and 6,684 employees’sampleswere collected and testedand the nucleic acid testsfor COVID-19 of these samples wereall negative.
