On November 26th, the2020 NationalEconomic and Trade Conference on Counterpart Support for Three Gorges Reservoir Areawas held in Yichang. At the meeting, 52 projects were signed between the two sides with a total investment of51.25billionyuan. 26of the projects will be constructed in Yichang with the fund of 17.32 billion yuan while the rest 28 projectswill bein Hubei,with a total fund of20.92billion yuan. Present at the meeting among the members were Wei Shanzhong, Vice Minister of Water Resources, Wan Yong, Vice Governor of Hubei Province and Zhang Ling, Vice Chairman of Chongqing CPPCC, and they alsodelivered speeches.
Other people who attended the meeting include comrades from 31 supporting provinces and cities likeBeijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Zhejiang,the representatives from Three Gorges Group and other enterprises, and those relevant personsfrom the cities, states and countieswithin theThree Gorges Reservoir Area. Theevent was also participated by ZhouHankui, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of HubeiWater Resources Department, Zhang Jiasheng, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Yichangand Mayor, Zhao Zhibin, Deputy Mayor, and Luo Yi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Three Gorges Working Committee.
The Ministry of Water Resources, the People’s Government of Hubei Province and the People’s Government of Chongqing City co-sponsored theeventat which exchange speecheswere madeby representatives fromBeijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Dalian, Shanghai Three Gun Group Co., Ltd., and Huafeng Group Co., Ltd.. The participants also visited the achievement exhibitionof the national counterpart support to the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, andconductedfield tripsto the Gezhouba Project, the Three Gorges Project and the environmental governance of the Yangtze River.
