The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently released the list of the second batch of national pilot cities for industrial-financial cooperation, and Yichang is on the list of the first batch of continuing pilot cities. In 2017, the city was selected as one of the first batch of national pilot cities for industrial-financial cooperation. To further enhance the capacity of financial services industry in the real economy, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) have jointly conducted the selection of the second batch of national pilot city for industrial-financialcooperation, with a view to creating an ecological environment characterized by positive interaction and mutual benefit between industry and finance.

　　According to the requirements, the selected cities must have a strong industrial base, boasting distinctive industrial characteristics, a high level of industrial chain and relatively rich financial resources, as well as good conditions for the development of fintech. Their inclusive finance and green financial development have begun to take shape, and financial risks also have been effectively prevented and resolved; remarkable results have been achieved in strategic emerging industries, new infrastructure construction and other key areas of industrial-financial cooperation, and advanced approaches such as industrial big data have been applied to empower industrial-financial cooperation.

　　For the selected cities, the MIIT will work with relevant departments to promote special information matching, carrying out strategic cooperation with some financial institutions to provide national industrial-financial cooperation platform services, efforts will be made to strengthen cooperation between funds at the central level and local governments, enterprise listing cultivation will also be launched, as well as coordinating the promotion of effective linkages among various types of pilot demonstration projects.
