　　Walking into the clinic in Cigarette Temple Village, Longquan Town, Yiling District, visitors will be astonished by the clean and tidy environment and well-regulated facilities. As of the end of December 2020, all 1,369 village clinics in Yichang have achieved standardized construction, making it easier for the people to seek medical treatment.

　　Primary medical institutions are the “first line of defense” for people's health. During the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, the city continued to strengthen the capacity building of primary medical institutions, achieved complete coverage of the standardized construction of village clinics, and created 31 national-level public-satisfactory township health centers, 1 national top 100 community health service center, and 5 national high-quality service demonstration community health service centers.
