The drop-off point is open for 5 hours a day, 7:00-9:30 in the morning and 5:00-7:30 in the evening, during which there are guides to teachand supervise residents on the spot to carry out accurate placement, to popularize the knowledge of garbage classification to the residents, in order toimprove the accuracy of garbage sorting.
At 8 a.m., the reporter saw an intelligent waste sortingenvironmental protection house on the left side of the entrance of Huanglong Neighborhood. Anotice on the prominent position of the house clearly writes the delivery time. And anLED display screen continually scrolls the relevant publicity contentsof the garbage classification and the timed drop-off point pilot. On thewalls of the garbage house, there are eye-catching slogans. All the sorting dustbins will be automatically turned on at the swipe of the card, and the power will be turned off when they are not in use. In addition, there are ahandwashing pool and mosquito killers nearby, which isvery human. “Plastic bags are notkitchen waste. Please remember to drop offkitchen waste without bags, and put the used bags into a differentdustbin.”
Specialkitchen waste bags are biodegradable, shouldthey be broken and pickedout as well? In response to such aquestion, Qu li, deputy director of the city environmental health management office, said,“We tearopen bags to better tell kitchen waste.From the point of terminal treatment, theremoval of thebags of kitchen waste can prevent plastic bags and other things from wrappingaround the knifeandthe spindle, and breaking theequipment operation and the equipment itself. To urge residents to do well in waste sortingconsciously, the city’s leading group of domestic waste sorting, drawing on the experience of Shanghai, has officially launch a three-month pilot project of timed domestic garbage drop-off at fixed points, bag inspection and bag-free jettisonof domestic waste in 19 urban areas from January 1.Waste sortingsupervisors will open rubbish bags to check at a fixed time during the whole period. At present, the city's sanitation department is renovating the rubbish sorting facilities in the pilot areas, while adjustingthe jettisontime according tothe actual situationsin different communities, so as to guide residents better to sort differentkinds of rubbish and to develop the habit of sorting rubbish and putting it into dustbinon time.
