On the morning of November 11, a news conference on the satisfaction survey results of passenger uponYichang urban public transport industry in 2020 was held in the urban area, releasing the main contents, characteristics and relevant information of the urban public transport industry's adherence to the priority development of public transport and meeting the people's satisfaction. The reporter learned from the conference that the central urban area has achieved full coverage of 500 meters of bus stops with 11 kinds of electronic bus payment methods, and the overall satisfaction rate of public transport services has reached 97.46%, a record high.
According to the presentation, facing severe challenges of COVID-19 in 2020, the urban public transport industry has achieved hard-won resultsby stickingto the principle of “epidemic prevention and control as well as industry development”. In the critical period of fighting against the epidemic at the beginning of the year, 12 public health lines were opened to ensure the commuting of medical staff, transporting 81,256 medical staff for free. The Yichang public transport group was awarded the“Advanced Collective of the National Transportation System Against COVID-19". The 41.65 km bus lanes were set up, and the proportion of bus lanes accounted for 25.9%. 123 new energy buses were newly added and 99 were to be purchased and delivered. After delivery, the proportion of new energy buses would reach 46.4%; the transfer discount within 30 minutes for non-BRT bus stops will be fully implemented, reducing the travel cost of 15.8465 million yuan.
According to the surveyconducted by the third-party organization thatis entrusted by the transportation department of our city,the overall satisfaction rate of the passengerto the public transport service was 97.46%, the best performance over the years, and the passenger complaint rate was 2.21% lower than that of the previous year. The more prominent problems mainly focused on the reliability of bus operation time and ride comfort.
The relevant person in charge of Yichang Public TransportationGroup said that effective measures would be taken to improve the quality of public transport service in our city by taking "transit city creation " as an opportunity under the demand of citizens.
Continuously optimization ofpublic transport network. The bus lines with high non-linear coefficient such as detour and tortuosity are sorted out. Combined with the current situation of road network, the bus lines are straightened to reduce the repetition rate. At the same time, we should regularly analyze the passenger flow of the lines, change the lines with large passenger flow in combination with the actual situation, and carry out optimization measures such as pairwise reorganization and direction adjustment so as to improve the direct transit.
Continuouslyimprovement ofriding environment. In the morning and evening rush hours, we will increase the number and the frequency of buses for the lines with large passenger flow, accelerate the progress of bus purchase, and continue to increase the investment in public transport capacity. Through the feasibility study of staggered shifts for the aged, we strive to improve the congestion and provide a more comfortable riding environment by means of"two increases and one decrease".
Continuously improvement of the setting of bus stops. We should comprehensively check the existing bus stop facilities, count the number of bus stops that have not set up waiting seats, conduct special research with relevant government departments to formulate improvement measures, and provide a more comfortable waiting environment.
