According to Three Gorges Daily, Yichang has so far allocated 59.887 million yuan as winter and spring relief funds to the disaster victims, together with 42,000 pieces (beds) of quilts, cotton clothes, cotton coats, blankets, towel quilts, clothes and other relief materials, as well as 108,000 kilograms of grain and oil, taking the lead in the province incompletingthe winter and spring relief work.

　　In 2020, Yichang was hit by 16 natural disasters such as heavy rain, floods, hail, low temperature and freezing, which affected 1.04 million people and 57,000 hectares of crops, throwingsome of the affected people intodifficulties in winter and spring. As soon as the flood season ended, the municipal emergency management department comprehensively deployed and planned the winter and spring relief work, sending 39 special teams to towns and villages to conduct an in-depth analysis of the problems in the winter and spring relief and establishedarescue account soas not to leave offonevillage, onehousehold and oneperson.

　　After receiving the appropriationdocument from above, the city’s emergency management departments at all levels actively consulted with the finance department and took the initiative to simplify the procedures and processing of fund allocation to ensure that the fund was all distributed to the affected people within 15 working days after the receipt of the allocation document.
