As the Spring Festival is approaching, many people are aroused to answer the call to stay in Yichang to celebrate the Lunar New Year. On February 3, it’s reported from the Municipal Health Commission that, in order to complete the task in medical security and epidemic prevention and control during the festival, all public medical institutions in the city are required to offer normal consultation during the Spring Festival on the basis of the implementation of prevention and control measures.

　　It is informed that, in order to meet the medical demands of the residents staying in Yichang for the Chinese Lunar New Year, during the Spring Festival, the medical institutions above the second level in the city will offer normal consultation with focus on ensuring the medical needs of patients with renal failure, tumor and other patients who need regular treatment, and providing timely medical services for pregnant women, children, the elderly and other focus groups.

　　During the Spring Festival, people have more chances to contact with pets and are easily bitten and scratched by dogs and cats. For the convenience of the public, some rabies exposure clinics in the urban area will provide regular treatment during the Spring Festival in 2021. Among them, the rabies exposure treatment clinics of the First Municipal Hospital, the Second Municipal Hospital and the Three Gorges Dam District branch of the central hospital are on duty 24 hours a day.

　　In order to do a good job in pre-hospital medical careduring the Spring Festival, more than 100 ambulances in 120 network hospitals and county and city emergency centers have been carefully maintained to ensure the safe operation of standby vehicles during the Spring Festival.

　　The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Health Commission said that the prevention and control of current epidemic is still the most important task. During the Spring Festival, the fever clinics of medical institutions at all levels in the city are on duty 24 hours a day, and various prevention and control measures and efforts are unabated. Corresponding emergency plans are formulated to ensure that personnel and materials can be put in place quickly in case of emergencies.
