The naming list of 2020 provincial eco-towns and eco-villages has recently been released according to the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment on February 19, of which 17 towns (sub-districts) and 76 administrative villages (communities) are from Yichang, ranking first in Hubei.

　　Among the newly added provincial eco-towns are Miaoqian Town and Luoxi Town in Dangyang City, Aijia Town and Tucheng Township in Dianjun District, Wujia Township in Wujiagang District, Xiling Sub-districtOffice and Yunji Sub-district Office in Xiling District, Gufu town in Xingshan County, Xiabaoping Township in Yiling District, Dongcheng Pilot Zone for Urban-rural Coordinated Development, Songmuping Town in Yidu City, Mingfeng Town in Yuan’an County, Longzhouping Town and Yuxiakou Town in Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, Dongshi Town and Xiannv Town in Zhijiang City and Xietan Township in Zigui County.
