311 old urban residential communities will be renovated and 150 elevators in old residential buildings will be installed in Yichang City, including 42051 households among 1507 buildings, with the coverage of 3.688 million square meters. The total investment is estimated to reach 1.29 billion yuan, funded by the central government, the local government, financial institutes, social organizations, citizens and original property units, according to the scheduled meeting on renovation of old urban residential communities on Feb. 24. 　　Based on the current situation of communities, we will facilitate the water, electricity and gas, as well as increase the security, fire protection, household waste sorting facilities. Besides, we will place the weak current cable under the ground. Moreover, we will promote more installation of elevators, the renovation of public areas, the increase of lights and parking lots, the accessibility facilities and community’s environment. To further people’s living conditions and constantly enhance their sense of fulfillment and happiness, efforts should be made in elderly care, children care and elderlycatering services suited to local conditions.

　　The overall plan of the city’s renovation of old urban residential communities in 2021 shows as follows: Xiling District, Wujiagang District, Xiaoting District and High-tech District will renovate 60 residential communities with 229 buildings，48 with 194，2 with 15 and 9 with 110 respectively. And Yidu County-level City, Zhijiang County-level City, Dangyang County-level City, Yuan’an County, Zigui County, Changyang County, Wufeng County and Yiling District will improve 6 residential communities with 24 buildings, 31 with 151, 33 with 148, 27 with 79, 29 with 105, 13 with 32, 17 with 126, 7 with 121 and 29 with 173 respectively.
