34 New Community Red Cross Service Stations Will Be Built in Yichang

  On March 10, the Work Conference of the Red Cross Societyof Yichang announced that Yichang will expand the coverage of community Red Cross service stationsand the “Bo’ai Home”program(a campaign launched by the Red Cross Society for public good) by building 34 new community Red Cross service stations, five “Bo’ai Homes”and implementing 20 community-level serviceprograms so asto make serviceseasily reachable for the public.

  To improve the work system and service system, the Red Cross Society of Yichang will actively participate in campaigns concerning urban and rural governance, disaster prevention and relief, the constructionof a civilized city, lifesaving andrural revitalization.Itwill continue to help the disabled people by proving them with policy preferences, cultural activities and assistance in respects of law, employment, medical treatment, arrangingvolunteers for them and deliveringheatstroke preventionnecessities, benefiting 100,000 disabled citizens. It will also organize emergency rescue training in government-affiliated institutions, schools, communities, rural areas and enterprisesto accelerate the construction of a healthy Yichang.
