On June, 26, Yichang Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminded that citizens who have been vaccinated for over 21 days should receive the second inactivated vaccine as soon as possible.

　　According to Yichang Center for Disease Control and Prevention,the vaccination procedures, including the dose of the vaccine, the interval time and the age of the applicable population, are all based on a large number of safe and effective clinical trial data. If only one dose is vaccinated, though antibodies can be produced, the titer and the maintenance time of the antibodies are not sufficient. Due to the "immune memory", after the second dose of vaccination, the body’s protective antibody level will rise rapidly and significantly within a short period of time. For one thing, it can help individuals achieve the best immune effect and effectively protect them from infection, severe illness and death; for another, an immune barrier can be built to stop the spread of the disease.
