(On July 2) The 12th China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival is to be held in Yichang in September, a reporter learned from the preliminary meeting.

　　China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival, one of the three national festivals approved by the state and organized by the provincial government, is hosted by Hubei and Chongqing in turn. It has been held for five times in Yichang. This tourism festival, themed as “the magnificent Yangtze River and a picturesque Yichang” is held during the special time of the centenary of the CPC. People can enjoy more than thirty activities in seven categories such as the opening ceremony, cultural performances, cultural tourism, piano cultural activities, citrus and tourism cultural activities, economic and trade investment and urban cultural tourism promotion and marketing. A successful tourism festival means the specific actions to implement the proposal of making Yichang a world-famous tourismcity, which is put forward by the Fifteenth Plenary Session of the Sixth Municipal Party Committee and the Economic Work Conference. Meanwhile the festival is an important carrier for promoting city brand marketing.
