On September 21st, statistics from Yichangdong Railway Station show that the passenger flow reached 65,000 from September 18thto September 21st, which has recovered to 60% in the same period of 2019.The peak passenger flow fell on September 21stto the number of 17,000.
It is learned that, during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, passengers including students mainly travelled on short-distance trips for touring and family visiting. Popular places include Wuhan City Circle, Xiangyang, Suizhou, Shiyan, Shennongjia, Yichang, Jingzhou, Jingmen and Enshi.Concentrated travel time and diversified passenger flow were the main features.
During the festival, Yichangdong Railway Station, with "Three Gorges Beauty" being its service brand, has organized Party members and the Youth League volunteers in key places such as ticket offices, entrances, security checkpoints and waiting rooms to provide services for the old, the young, the sick, the disabled and the pregnant, and help the elderly and off-line passengers with boarding.
Closely based on the passenger flow, Yichangdong Railway Station ran a different train operation diagram on a daily basis while dynamically adjusting the train operation plan in order to offer better travel services for local citizens and tourists. During the holiday, the station ran an average of 177 trains every day to fully meet the travel demand of passengers. In addition, Yichangdong Railway Station has also strengthened linkage and traffic connection with scenic spots to help passengers with seamless transfer of trains and buses.
