During the China Three Gorges International Tourism Festival, the famous artist Su DabaovisitedYichang for his art collection.

　　Su Dabao is the founder of Chinese sand painting, designer of the logo of Chinese rovers, Silk Road cultural ambassador and Grimm’sFairy Talesambassador. He is praised by the media as the “most influential contemporary sand painting artist”.

　　On the evening of October 20, Su Dabao, who had just finished his art collection tour around the Three Gorges Project, accepted an exclusive interview with our reporter. He said thathe had long hoped to cometo Yichang for art collection . More than 10 years ago, he passed Yichang in a rash and didn’t have time to learn more about the city. Yichang is not only the hometown of Zhao Jun(one of the four beauties in ancient China and whose marriage is for peace)and Qu Yuan(famous poet in the Warring States Period between 475 to 221 B.C. ), but also whereGezhou Dam and the Three Gorges Projectare located. The visit to Yichang duringthe China Three Gorges International Tourism Festival made him feel the passion and vitality of this ecological city, and also appreciate the picturesque scenery and rich historical heritage. He expressed his sincere wishesfor Yichang to builditself intoa world-famous tourist city and he had highgood expectationsof this.

　　In fact, Su Dabao knew well about theThree Gorges Project. Previously, his sand painting work “Colorful Sand Painting,Random Thoughts about the Three GorgesProject” described the historical changes with the buildingof the Three Gorges Projectand eulogized the spirit of the Three Gorges. He said that he had read a lot about the Three GorgesProject and Yichang in the process of creation, which further aroused his interest in and loveforYichang.
