On March 5, the event centered on Learn from Lei Feng Day and the exhibition of volunteer service in the new era was held under the theme of “At Your Service in Yichang” in Yiling Square. Zhou Zhengying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, delivered a speech at the event.

　　A ceremony was held to present the flag to volunteer teams of the 2022 the 16th Hubei games. Meanwhile, the models of volunteer service in 2021 were commended and the Yichang volunteer service song was released.

　　In recent years, the city’s volunteer organizations and volunteers have been practicing the spirit of “dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress”, and widely carrying out volunteer service concerned the poor and needy, ecological protection and other environmental-friendly practices. There were 859,800 registered volunteers and more than 3,500 volunteer organizations in Yichang. Zhou Zhengying said in his speech that the event should be used as an opportunity to vigorously inherit and carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng, further stimulate the power of goodness, gather the goodwill in the city, and make volunteers and positive energy full of Yichang.
