Recently, Hubei Intellectual Property Bureau released the 2021 Intellectual Property Statistics Report, in which Yichang’s total number of granted invention patents, valid invention patents and valid invention patents came to 12.15 per 10,000 people ranking first in Hubei province except for Wuhan, the capital city,far ahead of other cities and states in the province.

　　On March 3, the head of the Patent Office of Hubei Xingrui Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. said that they have 119 granted patents so far, including 38 invention patents. “Last year, we achieved 17 invention patents granted, ranking second in Yichang.”

　　The company has developed a series of incentive systems within the group, among which 696,000 yuan was awarded in 2021 for invention patents and the like. The number of patent applications submitted by the company has increased year by year,with 43 applications submitted last year, a year-on-year increase of 133.3%.

　　In recent years, Yichang Government has paid great attention to intellectual property work, continued to increase the investment, improve the policy system, and strengthen the administrative protection of intellectual property. At present, the city has paid out 26.642 million yuan in intellectual property awards and subsidies (including patents and trademarks). Last year alone, Yichang’s Intellectual Property Protection and Service Center held and hosted 41 training sessions on the construction of operation service system and standards implementation, etc., with over 7,000 trainees. More than 30 organizations in the intellectual property service industry have worked together to provide one-stop services for the innovation, operation and protection of intellectual property of enterprises. In addition, the “Blue Sky” for patent supervision continues to take effect.
