One-year Closed Operation of

Over 70 projects accumulatively contracted and settled in Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone in its one-year closed operation, gaining more than 5 billion import-export Volume in 2021

　　It is reported on March 23 that more than 70 projects have been accumulatively contracted and settled over the past year since the closed operation of Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone(YCBZ). The actual import and export of enterprises exceeded 5 billion yuan in 2021, which was included in the customs statistics of 3.58 billion yuan.

　　Since the closed operation of customs on March 22 last year, YCBZ has formed the idea of industrial cultivation with processing trade as the core, goods trade as the focus and service trade as the highlight based on the reality of Yichang. Actively undertaking the industrial transfer of processing trade in coastal areas, it has given priority to the layout of bonded processing projects in the zone, continuing to make efforts to develop bonded trade, cross-border e-commerce and other business forms, and focusing on the introduction of projects that conform the industrial positioning of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, with large import and export volumes, good output benefits and strong leadership.

　　In order to create a good environment for the development of enterprises, YCBZ has explored a number of original and replicable measures, striving to create a leading area of the business environment for the whole city. For instance,as the only typical case in the central region, “Earlier application policy” has been promoted by the General Administration of Customs throughout the country. YCBZ also takes the lead in carrying out the reform of individual completion acceptance of construction projects in the province to realize the completion, acceptance and operation of one standard plant. Enterprises in YCBZ are allowed to advance the registration procedures and import and commissioning machinery and equipment, and put into production immediately after the comprehensive insurance zone passes the national acceptance.

　　Up to now, more than 70 projects have been signed and settled in YCBZ, of which food and bio-pharmaceutical enterprises account for more than 60%, covering such sub-sectors as mineral APIs, medical devices, fermented foods, and health care products. More than 20 supporting enterprises including COSCO SHIPPING are located in the park, providing one-stop services such as freight forwarding, customs declaration, and logistics.

　　According to the 35th issue of the China Free Trade Zone and Export Processing Zone Association in 2021, a brief report on the Foreign Trade Import and Export in China Comprehensive Bonded Zone sand Other Special Zones in 2021, the import and export of YCBZ increased by 1435 times year-on-year from January to November 2021, ranking first among 152 special zones in China. By the end of that year, the total foreign trade import and export volume of the Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone had reached 5 billion yuan.

　　In the first two months of this year, the import and export volume of YCBZ accelerated to 630 million yuan. Among them, the export amounted to 520 million yuan and the import 110 million yuan.

　　During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, YCBZ will actively integrate into Yichang’s fiery practice of “strengthening industries, revitalizing the city, crossing energy levels, and striving to be the leader”, and will strive to form the first food and biomedical bonded area in the province around the goal of “creating a never-cooling industrial landmark in Yichang”. It will also accelerate the cultivation of new business forms such as cross-border e-commerce, bonded R&D, financial leasing, inspection and maintenance, explore the creation of two major platforms for import and export of bulk commodities and comprehensive services for cross-border e-commerce, and open up to service the high-quality development of export-oriented economy in Yichang and even the “Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi” urban agglomeration at a higher level.
