“It’s so efficient!” A driver praised the efficiency of vehicle disinfection system at the gate of Yichang Integrated Bonded Area (YIBA). On April 15, four spraying piles automatically sensed and sprayed disinfectant on a car when it was entering the gate. With just ten-odd seconds, the car was disinfected.

　　To improve the area’s pandemic prevention and control, YIBA put the first vehicle disinfection system into service in Yichang City. The system can sense the car automatically, and disinfect it when it is entering, thus, disinfecting entering cars strictly and ensuring the area’s security on pandemic prevention and control.

　　“In the past, the car was disinfected by man, and that would cost 10 to 15 minutes on each car; now, after the system is used, it costs less than 30 seconds, improving the efficiency a lot,” said He Gu, the area's deputy manager. After the system is putting into operation, it is predicted that it will disinfect more than 6,000 containers for import and export firms this year in the area, and it will lower down the costs of 2 million yuan.
