Hubei Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau issued 2021 annual trademark brand development report and regional trademark brand development index on May 2. It is informed that Yichang ranks first in the province in trademark development index.

　　It is reported that there were 12042 new applications for trademarks in Yichang, a year-on-year growth of 1.7%, 10,350 new registered trademarks, a year-on-year growth of 37.16%, the total number of effective registered trademarks was 46,227, a year-on-year increase of 25.67%. Well-known trademarks reached 67 items, ranking the first in the province; 3 new geographical indication trademarks were reported (75 items in total), ranking first in the province; 7 geographical indication protection products were added. There were 1718 international registered trademarks, and the number of international registration applications in Madrid ranked first in the province. The city handled 11 trademark pledge projects, involving 112 trademarks pledged, with a total amount of 382 million yuan, up 83.33%, 250% and 134.24% respectively year on year, ranking first in the province.
