The “Qu Yuan’s Hometown” Yichang E-sports Tourism Carnival and the Tencent League of Legends National League of the Southern Region Tournament was held at the Yichang Olympic Sports Center on May 28 and 29.

　　The tournament, co-sponsored by the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Tencent, is part of the celebrations for 2022 Dragon Boat Festival in Qu Yuan’s Hometown. Focusing on the inheritance and promotion of Qu Yuan culture, the event will promote Yichang to the world through e-sports and youth power, fully displaying the city’s charm. At the site, the stage embodied the design idea of “half landscape and half prosperity”. The performances combined the “Dragon Boat Drumming” and other forms to interpret the spirit of Qu Yuan, creating an audio-visual feast that integrates modern e-sports and traditional culture.

　　Based on this event, the city will tap potentials in the “e-sports +” industry’s integrated development, vigorously cultivate new driving forces for the cultural industry, and promote the integration of e-sports with culture, sports, tourism, technology, information, and other industries, all of which will contribute to the high-quality development of Yichang’s cultural tourism industry.
