Taking the opportunity of the operation of Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway, many scenic areas have launched ticket-free policy for high-speed railway travelers, a way to boost cross-provincial tourism. For example, ChaiBuxi National Forest Park provides free visits for tourists with railway tickets of Hubei terminals; Yichang Three Gorges International RV Camp and Bailihuang Alpine Grassland Tourist Area are open for free to tourists with railway tickets of Xingshan terminal. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yichang tourism has suspended five times.
