It is learned from Yichang Market Supervision Bureau that Yichang has been shortlisted as one of the Pilot and Demonstration Cities in the Construction of National IPR-Powered City recently released by China National Intellectual Property Rights Administration. Among the 38 demonstration cities (urban areas) are Wuhan and Yichang, two cities from Hubei Province, and 72 cities (urban areas) are recognized as pilot cities. The pilot demonstration time limit is from July 2022 to June 2025.

　　At present, Yichang has a valid invention patent ownership of over 13 per 10,000 people, and more than 9 valid registered trademarks per 100 market entities. In the city,there are 35 national IPR demonstration enterprises,with a total number of patent industrialization fund support projects exceeding 100, and its amount of IPR pledge financing is over 4.5 billion yuan. More than 100 enterprises have implemented the national standard of Enterprise Intellectual Property Management.
