Yichang Railway Transports over 60,000 Passengers during Mid-autumn Festival
2022-09-16 14:12:00

On September 12, it was known from Yichang Railway Station that 9 of its depots have carried 62,000 travelers during the Mid-autumn Festival, an increase of 30% over 2019.

To meet the public travel needs, the station implemented the policy of One day, One Schedule according to the change of passenger flow, and operated 154 passenger trains per day, basically stable as normal.

During the holiday, the station operated on the information supervision platform according to the early warning of train numbers with mass passenger flow acquired by tracking the background pre-sale data, and applied for transportation capacity support in a flexible way so that it could timely adjust its operating schedule to further improve the consistency between passenger flow and transportation capacity, to carry out precisely the One day, One Schedule policy, and to make earnest efforts to meet the travel demand of passengers.

In view of the centralized travel demands within the Wuhan Metropolitan Area, and the other two urban agglomerations of Xiangyang-Shiyan-Suizhou-Shennongjia and Yichang-Jinzhou-Jinmen-Enshi, the station arranged 33 extra trains and changed 21 more trains from the single unit into double-CRH locomotive operation, with most of them operating on the Wuhan-Yichang Line and the Changjiangbu-Jinmen Line.
