On March 12, the reporter learned from the Yichang Municipal Development and Reform Commission that, as an important part of the Three Gorges Big Data Center cluster, the second phase of the Three Gorges Dongyuemiao Big Data Center project is planned to start within this year and officially put into operation in 2025, planning to build 80,000 new standard cabinets.

　　The data center is one of the key projects of the "new infrastructure" launched by the country. In recent years, China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) has joined hands with Yichang municipal government to invest in the construction of Three Gorges Dongyuemiao, Tianqiuyu, Jigongling and Gezhouba Ziyang big data centers in the Three Gorges Dam area and Gezhouba Dam area, planning to build the largest data center cluster in central China.
