Recently, Yichang City Development Parking Company and Yiling Economic Development Group launched the promotion of “Free Parking at Night, More Preferential during the Day” under the guidance of the Yichang Urban Management Commission, in conjunction with the Municipal Development and Reform Commission in accordance with the actual operation of temporary parking spaces on the roads, in order to further promote the initiative of “One Parking System for the Whole City”, thus creating a more convenient consumer environment. This promotion not only stimulates the nighttime business vitality but also alleviates the burden of parking for the general public.

　　It is understood that the promotion will last for one year, from midnight on May 20, 2023, to 24:00 on May 19, 2024. The promotion covers the temporary parking spaces on the roads that have already started charging operations in the urban area.

　　During the promotion, all citizens can enjoy free parking during the nighttime period (20:00-7:00), and users who have prepaid through the “Yichang City Parking” app can enjoy a 30% discount during the daytime period (7:00-20:00). Citizens can open the “Yichang City Parking” app (Mini Program), enter the “Online Monthly Card” section, and select “On-road” to enter the parking lot name, upload identification documents, and make the payment.

　　Since Yichang launched the initiative of “One Parking System for the Whole City”, the city has connected 2,500 parking lots and 380,000 parking spaces to the municipal-level smart parking platform. 430,000 registered users of the “Yichang City Parking” app have enjoyed convenient parking experiences such as “One Binding Account, Easy Access Citywide”, “Contactless Payment”, and “Leave before Payment”, which have effectively activated public parking resources and mitigated the problem of limited parking for citizens.
