From June 22nd to 25th, the newly adapted historical drama “Qu Yuan” will be performed for four consecutive shows at the Yichang Theater.

　　The drama “Qu Yuan” is jointly produced by the Publicity Department of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee, the Yichang Culture and Tourism Bureau, and the Hubei Provincial Performing Arts Group. It is co-created and performed by the Changjiang People's Art Theater and the Hubei Three Gorges Performing Arts Group. Since its launch in 2021, the play has been listed as a key project for fine arts creation in Hubei Province for the year 2022, a script support project for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the year 2022, an outstanding stage art performance project for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the year 2023, and a large-scale stage play and works support project for the National Art Fund for the year 2023.

　　Previously, the drama “Qu Yuan” successfully premiered in Wuhan and had performances in Beijing. It received attention from 49 media outlets and was reported 102 times. The average attendance rate was over 98%, with a total audience of 4.6395 million. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism also organized special seminars with well-known domestic playwrights, directors, and art critics.

　　During the performances in Yichang City, Huang Weiruo, a renowned playwright, Guo Xiaonan, a famous director, and Wang Luoyong, a leading actor, will come to Yichang and bring the audience a breathtaking visual feast. There will be four shows, and 1000 tickets will be available for each show. Audience members can purchase tickets through the official account of Yichang Wenhuika, the Damai website, the Maoyan app, and the Douyin (TikTok) platform.
