According to the Yichang Road Traffic Law Enforcement Brigade, a new type of intelligent electronic bulletin boards have been installed at some bus stations and put into use in Yichang recently, which enables the passengers to have exact arrival and departure information of buses.

　　The newly installed electronic board at the Gufosi Stop (Southbound) on Zhenzhu Road was successfully debugged and put into trial operation on July 14. The board not only displays the arrival information of the buses but also makes the voice announcement of the arrival to each stop, which frees the passengers from many problems, including elderly’s inconvenient access to bus information on APP.

　　Relying mainly on modern information means, intelligent electronic bulletin boards at bus stops monitor and analyze the arrival and departure of buses as well as passenger flow through the GPS positioning system on the buses and the intelligent scheduling management system. At present, the electronic bulletin boards have been installed at 20 stops in the urban area, including the Buxingjie Stop (Northbound), the Dongmen Stop (Northbound) and the Zhenzhu Road Stop (Northbound), and 30 other spots will be installed with new electronic boards soon, covering some sections of major road sections, such as the Longkang Road and the 1st Xiling Road.
