On July 14, it was learned from the Yichang Central Blood Station that in order to better facilitate the blood donation and have more blood reserved in the off-season of blood donation, from July 15 to August 31, all blood donation houses and vehicles in Yichang will initiate the “summer mode” to extend the service time of blood donation.

　　In the new mode, the blood donation houses and vehicles serve from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm in the morning, except for the Blood Donation Vehicles of Zigui County that serves from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and the service time in the afternoon lasts from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Taifu Square, the Times Square, the Yiling Wanda Plaza, the Ocean Department Store, the Dennis Square in the urban area as well as in Yiling District, Zhijiang County, Dangyang County and Yidu County except for that in Yuan’an County and Changyang County changed into the period from 2:30 pm. to 7:30 pm.

　　“The blood donation vehicle at the Yiling Wanda Plaza will serve people on the 8th and 9th of each month, and the one at the Dennis Square will be moved to the Global Port in the near future, and the service time of the blood donation vehicle at the Shengjing Square is to be determined still and will be announced at that time.” The relevant person in charge of the Yichang Central Blood Station stated that currently, the daily clinical blood consumption in Yichang is three times that of street blood collection, and he hopes that more warmhearted people can join in blood donation.
