2023-08-09 08:50:00

On August 3, the oath-taking rally for the “Luban Award” (the highest award for engineering quality) of the project of the Extension of Supporting Facilities and Modernization Transformation of Yichang Dongfeng Canal Irrigation Area was held at the reconstruction site at Songjiazui Aqueduct. This is the first “Luban Award” mobilization in the history of Yichang water conservancy.

Divided into two phases, the Extension of Supporting Facilities and Modernization Transformation of Yichang Dongfeng Canal Irrigation Area focuses on the four themes of “improved safety, intelligent management, environmental governance, and integration of water conservancy and tourism”. The first phase of the project, with a total investment of 260 million yuan, started in March 2022 and will last for 36 months. As one of the important sub-project of the first phase, the demolition and reconstruction of the Songjiazui Aqueduct has been included in the Three-Year Action Plan of Hubei Province’s “Projects in Ten Fields” for Post-epidemic Revitalization (2020-2022), and is one of the 150 major water conservancy projects promoted by the state. Its design standards, construction requirements, geographical location and other aspects are all qualified for the application of the “Luban Award”.
