On August 29, cloud operation of government affairs service was launched online simultaneously at the hall of the Government Affairs Service Center of Wujiagang District, Wujiagang Subdistrict Office and Jiangshan Community. Through communication with operators at the cloud windows via video link and through one-to-one online guidance and examination provided by different departments, citizens can handle various matters such as opening-up of businesses, food business license, and medical insurance reimbursement. Government affairs service is changed from “service at the closest place” to “service via video link”.
On the day of the launch, Mr. Su, a citizen, conducted an on-site video talk at Jiangshan Community with Zhang Cijun, the operator of the cloud window of the Marketing Supervision Administration of Wujiagang District, applying for a food business license. Assisted by the operator, he managed to submit application materials and got online approval, printed his license on the spot and gave an “excellent” comment on the service at the website.
Communicating by telephone in the past for cross-level, cross-departmental and cross-regional technical support was both time-consuming and labor-intensive, thus making it a unpleasant experience for the public. The cloud operation now breaks geographic and space limits, and realizes interactive audio-video communication between the government affairs service windows at the district, sub-district (townships), and communities (villages) level with the examination and approval departments, forming a multi-point and multi-level online real-time interactive cloud network.
“The newly-initiated cloud operation of government affairs service will firstly cover the whole district and then be extended to bank branches and become cross-provincial and cross-regional as its scope expands via video links, ” said Hu Yanxiang, Party secretary and director of the Administration of Government Affairs Service and Big Data of the Wujiagang District.
