On October 8, the reporter learnt from the Traffic Police Detachment of Yichang Municipal Public Security Bureau that traffic control will be implemented on Third Shengli Road (Dongshan Avenue-Yanjiang Avenue) sections of overpass demolition project for the sake of safe and unimpeded traffic during the construction of urban freeway in the Yiling Yangtze River Bridge section, from 00:00 on October 14, 2023, to 24:00 on April 15, 2025.

　　Third Shengli Road will be controlled in three sections, including the parts between Dongshan Avenue and Yiling Avenue, Yiling Avenue and Yanjiang Avenue, and Third Shengli Road and Yanjiang Avenue intersection. The first section along Third Shengli Road from Dongshan Avenue to Yiling Avenue will be semi-closed with two lanes available to through traffic in both directions. The second section along Third Shengli Road will be fully closed to through traffic from Yiling Avenue to Yanjiang Avenue and semi-closed with one lane reserved for through traffic from Yanjiang Avenue to Yiling Avenue. The third section of construction will retain four lanes in both directions for straight-going traffic while left turn of traffic from Yanjiang Avenue to Third Shengli Road and from Third Shengli Road to Yanjiang Avenue prohibited. The traffic police advises in-advance plan of routes before travel. During the construction period, vehicles can cross the Yangtze River via the Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge or the Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge. (Reporter/ Pi Yajie)
