Yichang signed agreements with 20 key industrial projects worth a total investment of more than 40 billion yuan at the 14th National Economic and Trade Negotiation Conference for Pairing Assistance to the Three Gorges Reservoir Area on October 20, covering the fields of new energy and new materials, digital economy, health care tourism and green food and so on.

　　The Project of “Yiling Image” with a total investment of 6 billion yuan signed by the People’s Government of Yiling District and Hengxin Industrial Development (Wuhan) Co. Ltd. was the largest project at this fair. The project aims at building a CBD of multiple industries supported by immersive and marching cultural tourism performances and integrated with other programs, including affordable luxury leisure and health care and parent-child amusement.

　　Zhejiang Qiqiaolianyun Biosensor Technology Co., Ltd is making an investment of 2.035 billion yuan in the project of Digital Circular Economy Industrial Park. The project is expected to start in December, said Shi Yi, General Manager of Hubei Qixiaolianyun Data Technology Co. Ltd, and the enterprise will build 1,500 digitally-reformed garbage sorting stations and 223 carbon recycling stations together with the municipal government and the district government.

　　The pairing assistance has set a platform to give full play to the introduced industrial projects. In 1992, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council called on the whole country to provide pairing assistance to the Three Gorges Reservoir area. Since then, Shanghai Municipality, Heilongjiang Province and Qingdao City, Jiangsu Province and Wuhan City, and Hunan Province and Dalian City have offered their assistance to Yiling District, Zigui County and Xingshan County respectively, and Yichang has utilized the high-quality resources of the paired provinces and cities and succeeded in introducing over 100 renowned enterprises to Yichang, such as Juneyao Group and Wahaha Group, as well as a batch of projects of high added value and strong driving forces to the reservoir-induced resettlement areas.

　　According to the person in charge of the Three Gorges Dam Region Work Committee, a total of 196.59 billion yuan of economic cooperation funds and 2.529 billion yuan of free assistance funds have been introduced into Yichang through the platform of pairing assistance to Three Gorges Reservoir area by 2022.
