On October 20, a briefing was held in the urban area on the 38th Yichang Chrysanthemum Show in the theme of “Chrysanthemum Decorating Yichang”. At the meeting, it was introduced that a free chrysanthemum show will be held from October 27 to mid to late November at Huawan by the Yangtze River Bridge in Qiaobian Town, Dianjun District.
The show will be hosted by the Yichang Municipal Urban Landscape and Greening Construction Management Center and the People’s Government of Dianjun District, and organized by Yichang Jinhui Investment Group Co., Ltd, and 21 institutions from Yidu, Zhijiang, Dangyang, and Zigui will participate for their first show in Yichang Chrysanthemum Show. The show will present 400,000 pots of chrysanthemums in total, including 21 sets of large-scale chrysanthemum assemblages, over 200 chrysanthemum works of art, and over 2,000 pots of exquisite chrysanthemum varieties.
This show features a wide variety of chrysanthemums, including standard cut chrysanthemums, ball chrysanthemums, grafted chrysanthemums, and more than 200 new and distinctive chrysanthemum varieties introduced by the Municipal Institute of Landscape and Greening Plants, such as Jinruyi and Caixiawanli. Interactive devices and night lighting of dynamic technological style will be employed in the setting of the show.
The overall surface of the main show area and supporting areas reaches 47,000 square meters, and the show consists of the exhibited works reflecting the notion of “Co-creation” and a variety of entertainment sections, including Flowery Market Streets, South-Yichang Food Fair, camping bases and pets’ paradise, as well as various kinds of cultural and tourism shows, such as China Style folk music concerts and weekend performances of intangible cultural heritage. At present, 1,000 parking spaces have been arranged for the show at the parking lots in Huawan and neighboring areas.
