According to the latest report issued by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Yichang has added 634 enterprises above designated size during the January-August period of this year, ranking first in Hubei Province.

　　Since March, introduction and cultivation of enterprises above designated size has been taken as a key leverage of Yichang City to promote the high-quality development of private investment and build Yichang as a model city of the Yangtze River Protection and into a world-class city, and the first mechanism of enterprises above designated size introduction and cultivation under the leadership of municipal officials has been established with 195 potential market entities recognized for cultivation of enterprises above designated size, as has strongly stimulated the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.

　　As of now, out of the 195 enterprises cultivated under the leadership of municipal leaders, 30 have been successfully nurtured. During the practice of the mechanism, the relevant departments have made a total of 127 visits to the enterprises and collected 245 cases of issues and demands, with a settlement rate of 89%.
