Recently, Yichang Lijia Technology Co., Ltd. and Hubei Sinophorus Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., were newly added to the list of AEO Authorized Enterprises. Up to now, the total number of AEO authorized enterprises in Yichang has reached 16, ranking second among all cities and prefectures in Hubei Province except for Wuhan, the provincial capital.
Yichang Lijia Technology as a national-level enterprise that uses special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, specializes in the independent research and production of lithium manganese button cells, lithium carbon monofluoride button cells, and laminated pouch cells. Its products are exported to the United States, Singapore, and the European Union and so on. “Obtaining AEO authorization from customs helps companies gain a competitive edge in securing overseas orders and serves as a ‘golden key,’” said Chen Ping, the officer in charge of customs affairs from Lijia Technology.
AEO, short for Authorized Economic Operator, refers to authorized operators. AEO authorized enterprises recognized by customs can enjoy over 20 convenient customs management measures, including priority customs clearance and lower inspection rates. They also benefit from preferential measures granted by AEO mutual recognition countries and regions. Currently, China has signed AEO mutual recognition agreements with 26 economies, including Singapore and the European Union, covering 52 countries and regions.
This year, for the sake of the high-level open demands of the city and the development needs of import-export enterprises, Yichang Customs has doubled its efforts in cultivating credit for the enterprises that employ special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, “little giant” firms and SMEs. Currently, Yichang has six AEO authorized enterprises of special and sophisticated technologies, taking 20% in thirty ones in Hubei Province. (Reporter/Yang Jing, Correspondents/Zhang Yi & Huang Qian)
