It is learned that the Yichang Art Festival kicked off in the Yichang Theater on December 6 and will last until December 27.

　　During the festival, 13 real scene dramas, musical dramas and stage plays were performed, including A Work Song of Gorge Laborers and Qinglong Yanyue (the name of a legendary weapon wielded by Guan Yu, a hero of Romance of the Three Kingdoms as well as the Chinese God of War and Martial Arts) and A Glimpse of Zigui. Awards will be granted to the excellent programs of dances, operas and musical performances and exhibitions of works of art, calligraphy and photography as well as the counties and districts’ representative cultural performances, Beijing Opera performances, animated audial-visual concerts and comedy shows.
