The Measures on Voluntary Blood Donation was officially implemented on Jan. 1, specifying the incentive policy for voluntary blood donors for the first time.

　　People who have won the Voluntary Blood Donation Award, Voluntary Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation Award and the Voluntary Services Award for Blood Donation and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation (Lifetime Honorary Award) enjoy free rides on public transportation means in the city and free outpatient registration at government-funded medical institutions and free admission to government-funded parks, tourist attractions and other designated locations with relevant certificates.

　　The Measures on Voluntary Blood Donation specifies that the donors’ immediate family members can have access to an equal amount of blood for medical purposes. After the use of blood in Yichang’s medical institutions, voluntary blood donors and their immediate family members can apply for blood fee reduction or exemption at downtown blood stations, county (county-level city, district) blood donation sites and relevant online platforms with relevant materials.
