Recently, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) released the main statistics of the 2023 annual survey on the business environment of ten thousand private enterprises nationwide. Yichang has achieved a breakthrough in its business environment ranking, securing a position among the top ten prefecture-level cities and marking its first entry into the forefront of prefecture-level cities.

　　The assessment of the business environment holds significant weight, particularly for enterprises, especially private ones. Since 2018, the ACFIC has annually launched the evaluation of the business environment for ten thousand private enterprises. This initiative stands out as the largest in sample size and is a direct evaluation conducted from the perspective of enterprises among similar research efforts. The survey, focusing on private enterprises, utilized the investigation system of the ACFIC for private enterprises to distribute survey questionnaires. The investigation covered five primary indicators, namely, the operational conditions, the governmental administration, the market, the legal environment, and the conditions of innovation. In 2023, over 140,000 private enterprises participated in the survey.
