The Yichang emergency medical aid training base was officially unveiled on January 19 at the Yichang Municipal Emergency Medical Center amid the activities jointly organized by the Yichang Municipal Health Commission, the Yichang Municipal Emergency Medical Center and the Yichang Central People’s Hospital to advocate the National Emergency Medical Services Day. It is the first prefecture-level training base established for emergency medical aid training in Hubei Province.

　　The base integrates science popularization, theoretical study, practical training, education, professional training and exchanges. It is aimed at disseminating emergency medical aid knowledge and improving people’s aiding and self-aiding capabilities through professional training so that everyone can deal with medical emergencies in a more scientific and efficient way and thereby reduce casualties.
