In 2023, the total assets of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Yichang City surged to an impressive 638.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.66%; these enterprises also achieved a revenue of 173.7 billion yuan and paid 10.256 billion yuan for taxes and fees, representing year-on-year increases of 9.9% and 30.2% respectively; the cumulative profit amounted to 18.461 billion yuan, surpassing 50% of the total for state-owned enterprises in Hubei Province, firmly securing the top position; the industrial output value reached 109.268 billion yuan, outshining all other cities and prefectures in the province. In the annual assessment conducted by the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Yichang City ranked first for its outstanding work in state-owned assets supervision and the establishment of clean state-owned enterprises. Furthermore, its three-year action plan for the reform of state-owned enterprises was rated as Grade A, ranking the second among all cities and prefectures in the province.
