It was learned that civil aviation is to enter summer and autumn aviation season on March 31, and Yichang Sanxia Airport will add three new routes, namely Shenzhen-Yichang-Qingdao and Shenzhen-Yichang-Xining routes limited to East China Sea Airlines, and Chengdu Tianfu-Yichang-Zhoushan route limited to China Eastern Airlines. Altogether, there will be 34 routes operated by 14 airlines to 39 domestic and international destinations at Sanxia Airport.
After the seasonal shift, the high-frequency route points of Sanxia Airport will consist of Beijing with 2-3 flights per day, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Taiyuan with 2 flights per day, Shenzhen and Kunming with 3 flights per day, Guiyang, Qingdao, and Shenyang with 1-2 flights per day, and Dalian, Taizhou, Hangzhou, Nanning, Tianjin, Jieyang, Chaoshan, Beihai, Haikou, Ningbo, Xi'an, Wenzhou, and Nantong with 1 flight per day. Thus, a preliminary air route network mainly covering the national and provincial capitals as well as principal airports will be formed, with a more reasonable layout of routes distribution.
At present, the newly added routes of Sanxia Airport in summer and autumn have all been open for ticket sales, and passengers with travel plans can call the customer service hotline of each airline or log in to the official WeChat account of the airline or any major online ticket platform to inquire about ticket purchase.
